The concert has been fantastic, I saw it on television, because just after the meeting with Gloria we were on the way right back to Milano, while 22.000 persons were in Modena at the concert... truly a great idea!!! Davide and Sara went there but they told me that they saw Gloria big as a bottle... they left Modena just after "Mi Tierra". Oh well, I arrived at home... I don't know how, because... my cell-phone rang every 10 minutes... friends were calling me to know about the meeting... I repeated the story so much times that at the end all the train known I met Gloria Estefan, mmmm Stefano told me that I was talking excited and... just a little LOUD... LOL The concert was still on, but Gloria had already sang with Luciano Pavarotti, so I saw her only sing "live" her fantastic song "Mi Tierra" and in the final sing: We are the world. What do you think I saw IMMEDIATELY when I entered in my house... YES!!!!!!!! The videotape Stefano recorded about the meeting... WONDERFUL... but it stops when we are taking pictures... opssss... but don't worry, Davide's cam was recording on a table JUST in front of Gloria!!!! Than I saw Gloria sing: Fiorin Fiorello, because the VCR was recording... thanks God. A really nice surprise to hear Gloria sing in italian... GLORIA YOU ARE THE BEST... her voice sounds GREAT in every language!!! Her hair was straight and red, really elegant. A friend sent me some of the pictures here in this page, they are by the official italian photographer of the show: so all copyrights are to Daniele Venturelli. During the duet with Pavarotti she was wearing a lovely grey dress, with glimmering silvery bodice top with plain straight black below. During her solo performance he was wearing a grey sophisticated suite with a top and pants. She was wonderful with both suites, but I love when she wears suites with top and pants, because she looks as she really is: PERKY and CHEERFUL. During the rehearsal Gloria has been the most cheerful of the artists, she joked with Luciano Pavarotti... in one moment he was dancing on the stage with the notes of "Fiorin fiorello", an old italian song revisited with a special latin flavour. During three days Gloria made some rehearsals, her little Emily was always with her... at the end of the show she sang the famous song "We are the world" with all the Pavarotti's Friends. After the show all the artists attended to the Gran Gala offered by Pavarotti, Gloria went with all her family and staff. |
